Reds Minor League Baseball Blog

Alright, it’s been a while since I posted here.  This was the home of the Reds minor league affiliates and to date, I have yet to make it through a full season.  I’m hoping this year is the year.  Living in the Detroit area, minor league baseball isn’t far but it’s not very convenient.  Lansing is over an hour away and Midland a little further but there’s still no better place to buy cheap baseball tickets then at a minor league ballpark.  You might not know the names of any of the players, but you’ll get in the door for a quarter of what you’d pay to attend a big league game.

My next business trip is going to take me to San Francisco.  Way out on the west coast, I don’t get to California too often but in this case, I’m looking forward to some San Francisco entertainment.  I’ll have to check out a theater blog or something because I’ll be there off and on for a few weeks and when I’m not sitting in my room blogging about the Reds, I’m taking in the local scene.  Broadway musical tickets are usually tough to come by but that’s another I try to check out when I’m out of town, if not to check out the different venues.

Here’s my beef with traveling though.  I have a small gym at home and a membership to the place down the street.  With my being on the road, it’s really tough to find a place to work out at.  It’d be cool if there was a fitness information site that allowed you to find the closest gym.  There’s probably something out there, I just haven’t found it yet.

I’m on the fence about getting Tigers season tickets.  I use them to entertain clients when they’re in town but I also sell quite a few as well, especially when I’m not in town.  I haven’t gotten an reselling tickets news from the team, but it seems like the clubs are really clamping down on things.  Between that and the Tigers poor season last year, I’m leaning towards not renewing.  The team’s putting on some serious heat so maybe I’ll just hold out for a better deal.  Plus, you never know.  This is the same team pretty much as the year before when everyone thought they’d do something so them making the postseason isn’t out of the question.
