The Bats continued their nice run with their fourth straight win. Aaron Herr went one for two with three walks with two runs. Ryan Jorgensen went one for four with two RBIs in the 6-5 win.
Steven Kelly picked up the win although he was more in the right place at the right time. He gave up three runs in three innings and it was his first win of the season.
Aaron Herr singled home Jeff Kippinger in the bottom of the tenth inning to win it for the Bats. The infielder finished the game two for five with a homerun and two RBIs. Joey Votto had three hits including a solo homerun.
Jason Kershner picked up the win with two shutout innings of relief. He improved to 4-3 on the season. Bobby Livingston had a decent start and he gave up three runs (two earned) on seven hits and two walks with six strikeouts.
The Bats fell behind 5-1 to the Clippers and while they made it a one run game, that’s as close as they’d get. Aaron Herr hit a two run homer and Joey Votto hit a solo shot in the loss. Votto was also the only Bat with three hits in the game.
Phil Dumatrait had an unusually bad loss. He gave up five runs on nine hits and a walk with six strikeouts in six innings of work. It’s the second time in three starts that Dumatrait has given up five runs or more and hopefully he’s not falling off a cliff. Of course in the other start, he threw six shutout innings so hopefully the real (and better) Dumatrait will establish himself in his next start.
Dewayne Wise got it done at the plate in the Bats 13-3 win over Toledo. He went two for five with two homeruns, four RBIs and three runs. Aaron Herr had four hits and he homered while Edwin Encarnacion homered and finished with three hits.
Mike Gosling got it done on the mound. He improved to 2-2 on the season and he gave up three runs on eleven hits with six strikeouts in 7 1/3 innings.
The Bats edged the Chiefs 5-4 and Aaron Herr was a one man show at the plate. He went three for four with a homerun and three RBIs. Chad Moeller provided the rest of the offense with two solo homeruns.
Mike Gosling picked up the win with 5 1/3 solid frames. He gave up three runs on seven hits and three walks with five strikeouts and the win was his first of the season.
Jason Kershner gave up a solo shot in the twelth inning in the Bats 7-6 loss to the Syracuse Chiefs. Steve Kelly was also hit hard in his start and he gave up five runs on eight hits and three walks in just four innings.
Christopher Dickerson hit two run homer in the eighth inning to help push the game into extra frames. Aaron Herr finished with three hits and he drove in a run.
Homer Bailey’s start wasn’t all that bad, but with just one run of support, it turned into his only loss so far this season. He gave up three runs (one earned) on four hits and a walk with two strikeouts in six innings.
The lone run was driven in by Aaron Herr. Jeff Keppinger went two for four with a double.
Phil Dumatrait pitched the Bats to their first win in a while. He improved to a very impressive 4-0 record and he gave up just one unearned runs on four hits and three walks with one strikeouts in six innings.
Aaron Herr doubled, tripled and drove in three runs in the 7-1 win. Mark Bellhorn doubled twice and drove in two runs.
Homer Bailey got it done today. He gave up just one run on three hits and three walks with four strikeouts. It’s his second straight start where he’s given up just one run and you wonder how long he’s going to have to prove himself down here at Triple A.
The Bats scored six runs in the ninth inning to break a 2-2 tie. Joey Votto, Aaron Herr and Earl Snyder all drove in two runs in the 8-2 win.
Tom Shearn looked very sharp in his start today. He gave up just one unearned run on two hits and two walks with four strikeouts in seven innings. Unfortunately, the pen couldn’t hold in the final two innings and the hitters racked up only three hits so he picked up a no decision for his troubles.
Earl Snyder picked up two of those three hits. Aaron Herr accounted for both Bats runs in the 4-2 loss with a two runs homer.
The Louisville Bats improved to 4-1 with a shutout by the pitching staff. Mike Gosling got the start and he threw six shutout innings and gave up just three hits. He walked two and struck out four. Wes Wilkerson threw the final two frames and he picked up the win.
The lone run came in the ninth inning. Aaron Herr doubled in the ninth and that was the first Bats hit of the game. Then Bubba Crosby singled him home for the walk off RBI.
