Rick Asadoorian fell to 0-1 on the season with one rough inning. He gave up four runs and he struck out three in the loss.
Enrique Cruz doubled and drove in two runs in the 7-4 loss. Adam Rosales went two for four with a walk, a run and an RBI.
The Lookouts pitchers took it on the chin in this one in a 8-2 loss. Sam Lecure took the loss although he was hardly guilty of giving up all of the runs. He was tagged for three runs on five hits and four walks with three strikeouts in four innings. Two relievers combined to give up five runs in three innings to blow the game open.
Craig Tatum belted a solo homerun in the loss. Adam Rosales went two for four with a double and a walk.
Sarasota entered the eighth down 3-0 and things were looking grim but the Reds rallied for four runs to walk away with a 4-3 win. Adam Rosales singled home two runs to make it a one run game and then Craig Tatum singled home both the tying and winning runs in the big inning.
Ramon Ramirez improved to 5-2 on the season with some nice pitching. He gave up just a single hit and he struck out six in 3 1/3 innings.
Sarasota lost 10-7 and Adam Rosalez accounted for three of those runs with a three run homerun in the fifth inning. Daniel Dorn had a nice day as well and he went three for five with a triple and two runs scored.
Robert Manuel took the loss and he dropped to 2-2 on the season. He gave up two runs in his two innings of relief.
Wow, this was an impressive win. The offense racked up 16 runs with three different Reds driving in three runs each while the pitching held Vero Beach scoreless. If I had to pick a hitting star, it’d be Adam Rosales. He went three for four with a double, a triple, three RBIs and two runs. Brandon Szymanski also had a nice game and he went three for five with a solo homerun and three runs.
Johnny Cueto improved to 3-4 with six shutout innings. He gave up three hits and a walk with ten strikeouts in an impressive start.
Sarasota lost 6-5 but Adam Rosales had a quality day at the plate in the loss. He went one for two with two walks and three RBIs. Brandon Szymanski went two for four with a homerun and two runs scored.

The Reds had plenty of hitting stars in their 11-3 win over Daytona. Adam Rosales went three for five with two doubles, two RBIs and two runs. Carson Kainer came a double short of hitting for the cycle and he drove in two runs while Daniel Dorn went three for five with two RBIs and a run.
Ramon Ramirez picked up the win and he improved to 3-1 on the season. He gave up three runs (two earned) on seven hits with five strikeouts in six innings of work.
Daryl Thompson had a great start in the Reds 6-1 win over Daytona. He gave up just a single run on three hits and a walk with eight strikeouts in six innings and the win improves his record to 1-1 on the season.
Jay Bruce had a big day at the plate. He went three for four with a double, two RBIs and a run. Michael Griffin scored two runs and Adam Rosales drove in two in the win.
Richie Gardner improved to 3-1 with another good start in the Reds 7-2 win over Lakeland. He gave up just two runs on four hits and a walk with six strikeouts in six innings of work. It’s his sixth straight start where he’s gone at least five innings and given up less then two earned runs.
Daniel Dorn went two for five with a double, a homerun and two RBIs. Michael Griffin was three for five while Adam Rosales went two for three with a double, a triple, two walks and two runs.
The Reds blew a five game lead but still picked up the win, it just took them fourteen innings. Craig Tatum went two for five with a solo homerun and Adam Rosales went two for six with a double and two RBIs in the 6-5 win.
Johnny Cueto was hit hard but the pen picked him up. He gave up five runs on six hits and four walks with two strikeouts in six innings. Thomas Lanier picked up the win with a shutout thirteenth and Josh Roenicke picked up his eighth save with a shutout fourteenth inning.
Ramon Ramirez had a tough start in Sarasota’s 7-5 loss to Lakeland. He gave up four runs on eight hits and two walks with seven strikeouts in five innings. Josh Roenicke took the loss and he gave up two runs in the ninth.
Adam Rosales had a nice day at the plate in the loss. He gave up two for three with a homerun and two RBIs. Josh Holden went three for three with two runs and Michael Griffin doubled, drove in two runs and scored one.
Jeremiah Piepkorn led Sarasota with the stick in their 5-3 win over the Dunedin. He went three for five with two doubles and two RBIs. Adam Rosales also had a very good game and he finished with three hits, an RBI and two runs.
Johnny Cueto was mediocre in his five innings and he gave up three runs. Ruben Medina picked up the win with two shutout relief innings and Josh Roenicke picked up his sixth save with a scoreless ninth.
Robert Manual was simply pounded by the Tampa Yankees today. He gave up nine runs on ten hits in just two innings and his season ERA is an unimpressive 20.25. That’s not going to earn a callup.
Brandon Szymanski had a nice day at the plate. He went two for four with a double, a run and an RBI. Adam Rosales had a single and he scored twice in the 13-3 loss.

Adam Rosales had the big hit of the game. His three run homerun accounted for all of Sarasota’s runs.
