Joey Votto, Anderson Machado Each Homer, Drive In Three In Bats Win

The Bats beat up on the Redwings 9-5 for their third straight win and Joey Votto and Anderson Machado led the way for the Bats at the plate.  Votto went two for four with a homerun and three RBIs wihle Machado went two for four with a homerun, three RBIs and two runs.

Bobby Livingston improved to 2-4 on the season with a the win. He gave up two runs on ten hits with three strikeouts in seven innings.

Anderson Machado Hits for Cycle in Bats’ Loss to Mud Hens

The Bats took a 7-0 lead in this one yet lost 8-7 in ten innings to the Mud Hens.  Bobby Livingston had a tough start and he gave up six runs but it was Ricky Stone who took the loss when he gave up a run in both the ninth and tenth innings.

Anderson Machado had a huge day at the  plate in the loss.  He went four for five and he hit for the cycle. He drove in two and scored twice.

Bats Drop Third Straight Game

The Bats got some rough pitching today in a 7-4 loss to the Tides.  Mike Gosling gave up four runs in six innings and Jason Kershner gave up a run in 2 1/3 innings as he took the loss.

Tyrell Godwin was the hitting star.  He went two for four with a double and three RBIs.  Anderson Machado walked three times and he scored twice.

Homer Bailey’s Start Wasted With Poor Relief Pitching

Homer Bailey got it done today, but the scored wouldn’t reflect it in the Bats 8-4 loss.  Bailey gave up just a single run on four hits and two walks with three strikeouts in five innings of work.  Then the pen exploed and gave up seven runs in the final four frames with the big inning being the sixth where the Tides picked up six runs.

Anderson Machado went two for four with a double and two RBIs.  Mark Bellhorn went two for five with a double, two RBIs and a run.

Mark Bellhorn Drives in Four in Bats Second Straight Win

Mark Bellhorn got it done at the plate today for the bats.  He went two for five with a homerun and four RBIs.  Anderson Machado had two hits and two RBIs while Dewayne Wise had two hits, including a triple, and two runs scored.

Phil Dumatrait picked up the win with a solid outing.  He gave up one unearned run on two hits and two walks with five strikeouts in 5 2/3 innings.
