Dayton blew out Beloit 9-2 and it was Brandon Waring who really stepped it up at the plate. He went three for five with two homers, five RBIs and three runs. Denis Phipps went three for five with a homerun and three RBIs.
Luis Montano improved to 2-0 with a nice start. He gave up two runs (one earned) on five hits and two walks with one strikeout in five innings.
Dayton got to make up one of those rain outs today as they split a pair of games with Wisconsin. The first game was a 4-1 loss in which Curtis Partch was knocked around. He gave up four runs on nine hits with three strikeouts in 4 2/3 innings. Brandon Waring was the lone hitter with more then one hit and he went two for four.
Game two went a bit better with a 3-1 win. Matthew Klinker gave up just one unearned run on five hits with a walk and four strikeouts in five innings. Jacob Long went three for three with a run and an RBI.
Dayton edged Fort Wayne 3-2 and while Raymond Jeffords didn’t pick up the win, he was by far the most impressive on the mound. He gave up just two hits with six strikeouts in 2 2/3 innings of relief. Enerio Del Rosario picked up the win with 1 1/3 innings of shutout relief.
Brandon Waring was the hitting star. He went two for three with a homerun, two RBIs and two runs in the win.
Jamie Arneson was knocked around for four runs in just four innings as the Dragons lost to the Loons 5-4. He gave up the four runs on six hits and a walk with five strikeouts.

The Mustangs took care of Orem 9-3 and Brandon Waring was one of the hitting stars. He went two for three with a solo homerun and three runs. Jason Bour went two for four with a homerun and three RBIs. Michael McKennon belted a three run homer to help out the cause.
Jeremy Horst picked up the win with four shutout innings of relief. He gave up just one hit and he struck out five and the win pushed his record to 1-2 on the season.
Billings won their third straight game with an 8-3 win over Great Falls and Brandon Waring had a huge day at the plate. He went four for five with a homerun, five RBIs and two runs. Keltavious Jones and Angel Cabrera each singled, doubled and scored two runs.
Scott Gafney picked up the win with two no-hit innings of relief. He walked one and struck out one.
