Carlos Fisher had a rough relief appearance and he fell to 0-1 as the Lookouts lost to Huntsville 7-4. He gave up five runs on five hits and two walks with a strikeout in 1 1/3 innings. A nice start by Ramon Ramirez went to waste. He gave up a single run on three hits with two strikeouts in five innings.
Cody Strait went two for five with a double and a homerun. Sean Henry homered, walked twice and scored two runs.
Carlos Fisher fell to 2-2 on the season with a rough start in the Lookouts 9-1 loss to Carolina. He gave up five runs on seven hits and three walks with two strikeouts in 4 1/3 innings.
Tyrell Godwin had the only hit of the game for the Lookouts. He singled and drove in the only run.
Carlos Fisher had another awesome start and while he didn’t pick up the win, he did what he could to keep the Lookouts in the game. He gave up one run on four hits and a walk with eight strikeouts in eight innings. He now has 35 strikeouts in 31 innings since being promoted Double A. In all of his five Double A starts, he’s gone at least five innings and in three of those five starts he didn’t allow a single run.
Jesse Gutierrez doubled and drove in a run. Luis Bolivar went two for three with a double and a run.
The Lookouts dropped their fifth straight and they were held to three hits in a 2-0 loss to the Jaxx. Nobody reached base more the once and nobody had an extra base hit in the loss.
A nice start by Carlos Fisher went to waste. He gave up four hits and three walks with four strikeouts in five shutout innings.
A really good start by Carlos Fisher went to waste in the Lookouts 4-3 loss to Mobile. He gave up four hits and two walks with eight strikeouts in six shutout innings. Calvin Medlock and Carlos Bohorquez combined to give up four ninth inning runs to lose the game.
Drew Anderson was the hitting star in the loss. He went two for four with a double, an RBI and a run.
Carlos Fisher had a tough start and he dropped to 1-1 in the Lookouts 5-4 loss to the Smokies. He gave up five runs (three earned) on eight hits and a walk with seven strikeouts in six innings of work.
J.C. Boscan had a nice day at the plate. He went two for three with two RBIs and a run. Ryan Hanigan went two for four with two runs.
Carlos Fisher had a tough start for Sarasota in the Reds 9-2 loss to Tampa. He gave up six runs on eight hits and a walk with three strikeouts in just four innings and the loss drops him to 3-1.
Daniel Dorn had a solid day at the plate. He went two for four with a double and an RBI.
It had to end eventually and it wasn’t for lack of pitching. Carlos Fisher struck out eleven in six shutout innings but Logan Ondrusek gave up the only run of the game in the seventh innings as he took the loss.
The Reds were shutout on seven hits in the 1-0 loss. Craig Tatum and Brandon Szymanski each finished with two hits.
Carlos Fisher has handled himself quite well in the Florida League. He’s won all three of his starts and in this one, he gave up just a single run on four hits with five strikeouts in six innings of work. In 19 innings this year, he’s given up just one earned run, thirteen hits and just two walks. That’s a nice start and once the weather warms up, it might be worth seeing what the right hander can do in Double A.
Craig Tatum had a nice day at the plate. He went three for four with two doubles, a run and an RBI. Michael Griffin and Jeremiah Piepkorn also had three hits in the 5-1 win.
Sarasota got a blow out win and then a close loss in their doubleheader with Dunedin. In the first game, Craig Tatum drove in three runs with two hits and Carlos Fisher threw six shutout innings in the 8-0 win.
Game two didn’t go as well. Johnny Cueto had a mediocre start and he gave up two runs on seven hits and two walks with four strikeouts in 4 2/3 innings. The lone run came on an RBI single by Norris Hopper in the 2-1 loss.
Carlos Fisher threw a gem today for Sarasota and he combined with two relievers for a shutout over Fort Myers. He gave up just three hits and a walk with three strikeouts in seven shutout innings.
Jay Bruce led the way in a light hitting outing for the team. He singled, drew a walk and scored one of the two runs in the 2-0 win.
