Richie Gardner won his first Triple A game in only his second start as he continued his impressive climb up through the minors. He gave up three runs on seven hits and one walk with three strikeouts in 5 1/3 innings.
Christopher Dickerson belted a two run homer in the 5-3 win. Ryan Freel started his rehab assignment and he went one for four with a run and a stolen base.
The Bats took care of the Bulls today 10-2 and Mark Bellhorn had a hand in half of those runs. He only had one hit but it was a grand slam and Bellhorn finished the game with five RBIs. Christopher Dickerson hit a two run shot and Mike Edwards went two for four with two walks and three runs.
Mike Gosling picked up the win with a really nice start. He gave up just two runs on five hits with ten strikeouts in seven innings. The win pushes his record to 5-2 on the season.
The Bats lost to the Bulls 4-3 and Steven Kelly dropped to 0-4 on the season with a rough start. He gave up four runs on eight hits with two strikeouts in five innings.
Christopher Dickerson was the hitting star in the loss. He went three for four with a double and an RBI. Josh Hamilton singled and drew a walk in his final rehab start and Joey Votto doubled and scored a run.
The Bats hit five homeruns as a team and Josh Hamilton hit two of those in their 13-6 win over the Knights. Both of Hamilton’s homers were solo shots and Christopher Dickerson went two for three with a homerun, two walks, three RBIs and two runs.
Mike Gosling picked up the win despite not having his best stuff. He gave up four runs on six hits and four walks with four strikeouts in five innings.
Homer Bailey had another great start and he improved to 5-1 on the season in the 4-1 win over Charlotte. He gave up one run on five hits and struck out nine in seven quality innings.
Joey Votto singled and he drove in two runs in the win. Christopher Dickerson was a perfect four for four with a double and he scored one of the runs.
The Bats were blown out by Buffalo 9-5 and Phil Dumatrait dropped to 5-3 with the loss. He gave up six runs (four earned) on six hits and five walks with two strikeouts in five innings.
Christopher Dickerson doubled twice and he drove in a run. Mike Edwards went two for three with a run and an RBI.
Jason Kershner gave up a solo shot in the twelth inning in the Bats 7-6 loss to the Syracuse Chiefs. Steve Kelly was also hit hard in his start and he gave up five runs on eight hits and three walks in just four innings.
Christopher Dickerson hit two run homer in the eighth inning to help push the game into extra frames. Aaron Herr finished with three hits and he drove in a run.
Jay Garthwaite had a nice game despite the Lookouts losing 5-3. He went one for three with a homerun and three RBIs. Christopher Dickerson went one for three with two runs.
Camilo Vazquez took the loss and he dropped to 1-2. He gave up three runs on seven hits and two walks with five strikeouts in 4 1/3 innings.
James Avery got it done for the Lookouts in their 6-3 win over Carolina. He gave up just two runs on three hits and a walk with five strikeouts in six innings and the win improved his record to 2-2.
Christopher Dickerson singled, drove in two and scored a run. Caonabo Cosme hit a solo homerun.
The Lookouts were bounced today and Luke Lockwood took it on the chin in the 5-1 loss. He gave up all five runs on ten hits with four strikeouts in six innings of work. The loss pushed his record to 0-2.
Tonys Gutierrez drove in the only run of the game for the Lookouts. Christopher Dickerson went two for four.
Caonabo Cosme had a nice day at the plate in the Lookouts 7-5 win. He went two for four with two runs and two RBIs. Christopher Dickerson finished with three singles and two RBIs.
Sam Lecure threw a good game in his start and he improved to 1-0. He gave up four hits and three walks with two strikeouts in five shutout innings.
Cody Strait had a big day at the plate in the Lookouts 4-3 win overMontgomery. He went three for four with a double, a homerun, three RBIs and three runs. Christopher Dickerson also had a nice game with two hits and two runs.
Sam Lecure was pretty good in a no decision start. He gave up two runs on six hits and three walks with seven strikeouts in five innings of work. Justin Mallett picked up the win with a shutout eighth.
Christopher Dickerson had a big game at the plate for the Lookouts in their 3-2 win. He went three for four with a double, a run and two RBIs. Caonabo Cosme also had a nice game. He went two for four with an RBI.
Luke Lockwood threw six solid innings in his start. He gave up a single run on four hits with six strikeouts.
The Lookouts scored two runs in the top of the seventh to tie their game with Mobile and then Cody Strait hit a solo homerun in the top of the tenth to take the lead. Unfortunately, Calvin Medlock was roughed up in the bottom of the tenth for two runs including the game winner the the Lookouts lost 5-4.
Tyler Pelland had a mixed start. He gave up seven hits but just two runs and he struck out three in four innings of work. At the plate, Drew Anderson doubled three times and scored twice while Christopher Dickerson was a perfect five for five. The two teams combined for 29 hits yet scored just nine runs.
