Carlos Fisher had a rough relief appearance and he fell to 0-1 as the Lookouts lost to Huntsville 7-4. He gave up five runs on five hits and two walks with a strikeout in 1 1/3 innings. A nice start by Ramon Ramirez went to waste. He gave up a single run on three hits with two strikeouts in five innings.
Cody Strait went two for five with a double and a homerun. Sean Henry homered, walked twice and scored two runs.
Sarasota took game one in their best of the three game series with Clearwater as they make a run for the Florida State League championship. Ben Jukich was the star on the mound. He didn’t allow a single hit with two walks and five strikeouts in seven innings.
Cody Strait put the Reds on the board with what turned out to be the game winning run with a solo homerun in the fourth inning. Tonys Gutierrez had a nice game with two singles in four at bats.
Cody Strait had a big day at the plate in Sarasota’s 9-6 win over Vero Beach. He went two for five with a homerun and five RBIs. Craig Tatum went three for five with a double and an RBI.
Robert Manuel improved to 5-2 with 2 1/3 innings of solid relief. He gave up one run on three hits and a walk with three strikeouts.
James Avery dropped to 5-6 on the season with a tough start against the Huntsville. He gave up six runs on seven hits and two walks in four innings.
Cody Strait had a big three run homerun that put the Lookouts back into the game in the 6-5 loss. Ryan Hanigan went two for three with two doubles and a run.
Camilo Vazquez improved to 3-3 on the season with a nice start. He gave up just one run on two hits and three walks with four strikeouts in five innings of work. Calvin Medlock also had a nice outing and he threw three innings of shutout relief.
Cody Strait had a nice game in the 7-1 win. He went three for five with a double, a homerun and three runs. Paul Janish also hit the ball well and he went three for five with two doubles, a triple, two RBIs and two runs.
The Lookouts topped Carolina 7-2 and Drew Anderson provided a bulk of the offense with a three run homer. Cody Strait also had a nice day at the plate and he went two for four with a double and two RBIs.

Yes, that’s a lot of “L’s.” Luke Lockwood was hammered in a 7-6 loss to the Biscuits. He gave up seven runs on eight hits in six innings.
Caonabo Cosme drove in three runs while Paul Janish had three hits, two runs and an RBI in the loss. Cody Strait doubled and drove in two runs.
