Pedro Villerreal made one bit mistake and that was a three run blast that cost the GCL Reds in a 3-2 loss to the GCL Twins. He gave up the three runs (two earned) on three hits with a walk and a strikeout in four innings.
Jefry Sierra went two for three in the loss. Cristobal Rodriguez singled and he scored a run.
You usually don’t win many games when you give up five errors but the GCL Reds did just that in a 7-5 win over the GCL Orioles. Yorman Rodriguez went two for four with a walk and two runs. Cristobal Rodriguez went two for four with a triple, a run and an RBI.
Marcos Molina picked up the win and he improved to 1-1. He gave up four hits in three innings of relief. Raul Rodriguez struck out three in 1 2/3 innings of shutout relief to pick up his first save of the season.
The GCL Reds picked up nine hits but none of those baserunners crossed the plate in a 5-0 loss to the GCL Orioles. Cristobal Rodriguez went three for four while Theodis Bowe went two for four with a double.
Marcos Molina took the loss and he fell to 0-1. He gave up four runs on five hits and three walks with two strikeouts in just one inning. Pedro Villareal threw three shutout innings in his start.
