The Bats had plenty of hitting stars in their 11-5 over Gwinnett. Darnell McDonald went three for five with a pair of solo homers and three runs. Kevin Barker went two for two with a double, a solo home run and two runs scored while Edwin Encarnacion belted a three run blast during his rehab stint.
Homer Bailey improved to 8-5 with a really nice start. He gave up one run on six hits and two walks with eight strikeouts in seven frames.

The Bats figured out the Yankees and won their series finale 7-5. Darnell McDonald went two for four with a home run and three RBIs while Michael Griffin had just one hit, but it was a big three run blast in the second inning.
Robert Manuel picked up the win with three innings of shutout relief. He struck out four and didn’t allow a baserunner while Josh Roenicke got the final two Yankees out to pick up save number six.
