Luis Montano continued his impressive campaign and he improved to 3-0 with a nice start in the Dragons 3-1 win over Cedar Rapids. He gave up just one run on one hits and two walks with five strikeouts in seven innings. Enerio Del Rosario saved his fourth game with two shutout innings.
Todd Frazier provided the bulk of the Reds offense. He went two for four with a two run homer.
Dayton blew out Beloit 9-2 and it was Brandon Waring who really stepped it up at the plate. He went three for five with two homers, five RBIs and three runs. Denis Phipps went three for five with a homerun and three RBIs.

Dayton got to make up one of those rain outs today as they split a pair of games with Wisconsin. The first game was a 4-1 loss in which Curtis Partch was knocked around. He gave up four runs on nine hits with three strikeouts in 4 2/3 innings. Brandon Waring was the lone hitter with more then one hit and he went two for four.
Game two went a bit better with a 3-1 win. Matthew Klinker gave up just one unearned run on five hits with a walk and four strikeouts in five innings. Jacob Long went three for three with a run and an RBI.
Todd Frazier was the hitting star in the Dragons 8-3 win over Fort Wayne. He went three for four with a double, a homerun, three RBIs and two runs. Keltavious Jones went two for four with a double and two runs.
Jeremy Horst improved to 1-0 with some impressive relief pitching. He gave up one hit with four strikeout in four innings pitched.
Dayton edged Fort Wayne 3-2 and while Raymond Jeffords didn’t pick up the win, he was by far the most impressive on the mound. He gave up just two hits with six strikeouts in 2 2/3 innings of relief. Enerio Del Rosario picked up the win with 1 1/3 innings of shutout relief.
Brandon Waring was the hitting star. He went two for three with a homerun, two RBIs and two runs in the win.
It was 3-0 heading into the bottom of the sixth and the Dragons held the lead when the eighth inning started but two runs in the eighth and then a game winning run in the ninth cost the Dragons the game in the 4-3 loss. Terrell Young not only gave up the tying run in the bottom of the eight but he also gave up the game winner in the ninth.
Michael McKennon belted a two run homer in the loss. Todd Frazier went two for four with an RBI.
Todd Frazier belted a solo homer in the top of the tenth inning as the Dragons took care of the Loons 4-3. Justin Reed went two for five with a run.
Joseph Krebs gave up a run in three innings of relief and he picked up the win. Enerio Del Rosario threw a shutout tenth inning and he picked up the save.
Jamie Arneson was knocked around for four runs in just four innings as the Dragons lost to the Loons 5-4. He gave up the four runs on six hits and a walk with five strikeouts.
Brandon Waring had a nice day at the plate. He went three for four with a homerun, two RBIs and two runs.
Those pesky Loons dispatched the Dragons tonight by the scored of 5-2. Mediocre is the name of the game. Neither the offense or the pitching was poor, it just wasn’t that great. Todd Frazier drew three walks and he scored a run while Jason Bour doubled and scored.
Scott Carroll dropped his start and he fell to 0-1. He gave up three runs (two earned) on six hits with three strikeouts.
