The Dragons got nothing from their hitters in a 4-0 loss to the White Caps. Nobody had more then one hit and only Logan Parker reached base twice with a double and a walk.
Anthony Gressick took the loss and he fell to 2-5 on the season. He gave up three runs on four hits and four walks with four strikeouts in five innings.
Anthony Gressick fell to 2-4 on the season after a rough start in the Dragons 7-4 loss to the White Caps. He gave up seven runs (five earned) on six hits and three walks with three strikeouts in 3 1/3 innings.
Billy Rojo was the hitting star in the loss. He went two for five with a double and a run.
Travis Webb was shelled in the Dragons 9-1 loss to the White Caps. He fell to 4-4 on the season and he gave up six runs on four hits and four walks with two strikeouts in just 1 2/3 innings.
There were no hitting stars in this one. Drew Stubbs had one of the five hits and he scored the only run for the Dragons.
The Dragons pummelled the White Caps in an impressive 10-0 rout. Juan Francisco led the way at the plate. He went two for five with a double and four RBIs. Denis Phipps also had a nice game and he went three for three with an RBI and two runs.
Rafael Gonzalez continued his impressive season and he improved to 9-1. He gave up four hits and a walk with three strikeouts in seven shutout innings.
Anthony Gressick had a rough time in his start in the Dragons 8-3 loss to the White Caps. He fell to 2-3 on the season and he gave up four runs on four hits and five walks with two strikeouts in three innings.
Juan Francisco doubled, drove in two and scored a run. Chris Valaika went two for five and he scored a run.
Dayton lost to the White Caps 8-4 and through five innings, the Dragons had a 4-0 lead. Then starter Sean Watson gave up four runs before he left and the bullpen continued the collapse. Marcos Mateo took the loss and he gave up two runs without getting a single batter out.
Juan Francisco went two for four with a solo homer. The homerun was his twelth of the season.
Eddy Rodriguez hit a walk off homerun in the bottom of the ninth as the Dragons beat the Lugnuts 5-4. He finished the game two for four and he drove in two runs. Chris Heisey went three for four with two runs.
Jose Rojas picked up the win despite giving up the tying run in the top of the ninth. He improved to 1-2 on the season.
Eddy Rodriguez drove home Juan Francisco in the bottom of the eighth with a sac. fly to win it for the Dragons. Logan Parker was the hitting star though in the 4-3 win. He went three for three with a double and an RBI.
A pretty good start by Rafael Gonzalez was almost wasted. He gave up one run on three hits and two walks with four strikeouts in six innings. Ramon Geronimo picked up the win despite giving up the lead initially and he improved to 2-1 on the season.
The pen gave up three late runs in the Dragons 6-4 loss to the Lugnuts. Pedro Viola took the loss and he dropped to 3-1 on the season. He gave up two runs in 2 2/3 innings.
No Dragon had more then one hit and Justin Turner had the big one. He hit a two run shot in the third inning.
The Dragons outhit the Loons 9-8 but they lost 4-2 in a low scoring affair. Jason Louwsma hit a solo homerun while Chris Valaika went three for four.
Jordan Smith dropped to 4-4 on the season although he had a decent start. He gave up three runs on six hits and one walk with four strikeouts in seven innings of work.
Sean Watson had another nice start and he improved to 4-2 in the Dragons 5-2 win over the Loons. He gave up a single run on four hits and a walk with five strikeouts in 6 1/3 innings. He now has 68 strikeouts in 54 2/3 innings and his ERA is now down to 1.81. Righties are only hitting .203 against him and he’s walked only eleven batters. It might be time to see what this kid can do at Sarasota.
Gerardo Cabrera was the hitting star in the win. He went two for four with two runs scored.
