Lance Janke Is Hit Hard In Dragons Loss

Lance Janke fell to 1-3 on the season with a rough start in the Dragons 7-4 loss to Cedar Rapids. He gave up six runs on ten hits and three walks with four strikeouts in 5 1/3 innings.

Carlos Mendez belted a two run homer in the sixth inning to help out the Dragons lost cause. Byron Wiley tripled and scored a run.

Dragons Lose In Eleven

The Dragons lost a tough one. They came back from a 3-0 deficit to send the game into extra innings and then they lost it in the eleventh. Andrew Bowman continued his tough luck season and he fell to 0-6. He gave up the two runs in the eleventh.

Dave Sappelt was he hitting star in the loss. He went two for five with two doubles, two runs and an RBI. Carlos Mendez singled, drew a walk and drove in one.
