Louisville made up their postponed game from yesterday and they also played their game from yesterday and they took care of the Chiefs in both. Ryan Hanigan drove in two runs in the first game, which was a 5-3, eleven inning victory. Jolbert Cabrera went one for two with a double, an RBI, a run and three walks. Marcus McBeth picked up the win with two innings of shutout relief.
Tom Shearn got it done on the mound in the second game. He gave threw five innings of no-hit ball and he struck out five to pick up the win. Cabrera went two for four with two doubles and two RBIs.
Don’t blame Homer Bailey. He threw about as good of a game as you could, the hitters just didn’t get it going for him. Bailey gave up a single run on five hits and a walk with two strikeouts in seven innings.
The Bats picked up just four hits in this one and Ryan Hanigan had two of them. Jolbert Cabrera doubled and Jay Bruce piled on a single to round out the other Bats hits.
