Lookouts Split Doubleheader With Biscuits

by @ 7:18 pm. Filed under Justin Mallett, Josh Roenicke, Ben Jukich, Chattanooga Lookouts - April 2008, B.J. Szymanski, Justin James

The Lookouts split their twin bill today with the Biscuits.  Game one was an 8-4 win but the Lookouts needed an extra frame to win it.  That four run eighth inning came on a big grand slam by B.J. Szymanski.  He finished two for three with a double, the slam and three runs.  Ben Jukich threw five solid innings in his start and he gave up two runs on four hits and two walks with three strikeouts in five innings.  Josh Roenicke gave up an unearned run in the seventh inning but he picked up the win.

Game two was an ugly 10-1 blowout loss.  Justin Mallett gave up four runs on four hits and two walks with one strikeout in three innings of work.  Justin James was shelled for five runs in 1 2/3 innings.  Szymanski drove in the lone run for the Lookouts with his second homerun of the day.
