The Bats forced a winner take all game five with a 10-7 win over the Durham Bulls. Chris Denove went two for four with two doubles, a run and three RBIs. Chris Helsey went one for three with two walks, a run and two RBIs.
Lee Tabor picked up the win and he three fur innings of shutout relief. Logan Ondrusek threw a shutout ninth and he picked up his second save of the series.
Lee Tabor improved to 1-1 on the season with a really nice start in the Mudcats 6-0 win over the Smokies. He gave up just four hits and two walks with three strikeouts in six shutout innings.
Juan Francisco went two for three with a solo home run, a walk and two runs. Zack Cozart went one for three with a walk, an RBI and two runs.
Lee Tabor fell to 0-1 on the season with a rough start in the Mudcats 9-3 loss to the Lookouts. He gave up six runs (four earned) on six hits in 3 1/3 innings.
Todd Frazier led the way at the plate and he went two for three with a double, a walk and a run. Carson Kainer went one for three with a double, a walk, a run and an RBI.
