Luke Lockwood Is Hit Hard In Lookouts Loss

Luke Lockwood dropped to 1-6 on the season with a tough start in the Lookouts 8-4 loss to Huntsville.  He gave up six runs on ten hits and two walks with three strikeouts in 5 1/3 innings.

Marland Williams provided most of the offense with one swing of the bat. He belted a three run homer in the sixth inning. Enrique Cruz went three for four with a run and an RBI.

Marland Williams Powers Lookouts to Win Over Huntsville

Marland Williams had a big day at the plate in the Lookouts 9-6 win over Huntsville.  He went two for four with a double, a homerun, three RBIs and two runs.  Ryan Hanigan went one for two with a walk and three RBIs.

Tyler Peland picked up the win with two shutout innings of relief.  He gave up two hits and he struck out two and the win pushed his record to 3-4 on the season.

Jay Garthwaite Powers Lookouts In Blowout Win Over Smokies

Jay Garthwaite had a huge day at the plate in the Lookouts 11-2 win over the Smokies.  He went three for five with a homerun, three RBIs and two runs.  Marland Williams had only one hit, but he made it count with a three run homer.

James Avery picked up the win with a nice start.  He gave up just two runs on six hits and a walk with two strikeouts in seven innings of work.  The win pushed his record to 5-2 on the season.

Lookouts Come Back Falls Short In Loss To Jaxx

Down 3-0, the Lookouts scored two runs in the eighth inning to make it a one run game but that was far as they got as they look the loss.  Camilo Vazquez threw five solid innings but he took the loss and dropped to 1-3.  He gave up three runs on eight hits and three walks with three strikeouts.

The Lookouts picked up both of their runs with one swing of the bat by Marland Williams.  He hit a two run homer and he was also the only Lookout to finish with two hits.

Lookouts Win First Game Behind Solid Start by Camillo Vazquez

The good news is, Camillo Vazquez gave up just a single hit in six shutout innings in his win against Mobile.  The bad news is, he walked five but struck out three.  Fortunately, those walks didn’t come back to haunt him and the end result was a 5-0 Lookouts win, their first of the season.

Drew Anderson was solid at the plate.  He went three for four with two RBIs.  Marland Williams also had a nice game and he went three for four with a triple and two runs.
