Sam LeCure improved to 2-0 on the season with a really nice start in the Bats 8-2 win over the Clippers. He gave up two hits and he struck out nine in eight shutout innings.
Chris Heisey had a big day at the plate. He went two five with a home run and four RBIs. Zack Cozart went two for three with a double, two RBIs and a run.
This was a tough one because the Bats blew a one run lead in the ninth then lost it in the tenth. Sam LeCure had a mediocre start and he gave up two runs in 4 1/3 innings before yielding to the pen. Jon Adkins gave up the ninth inning run and then Jesus Delgado took the loss after he gave up a solo home run in the tenth.
Daniel Dorn hit a solo home run and he drew two walks. Zach Cozart went two for four with a run.
The Bats opened up Slugger Field with a win as they took care of the Hens 5-3. Daniel Dorn and Corky Miller provided the bulk of the offense with a pair of two run blasts. Jeff Frazier also had a nice game and he went two for four with a double, a run and an RBI.
Sam LeCure had a nice start and he improved to 1-0. He gave up a pair of runs on seven hits and two walks with four strikeouts in five innings. Jon Adkins got the final three outs and he picked up his first save of the season.
Three Bats pitchers combined to shutout the Braves in an impressive 5-0 win. Sam LeCure picked up the win and he improved to 5-5. He gave up four hits and two walks with five strikeouts in 6 2/3 innings.
Kevin Barker brought the big stick and he went two for four with a two run homer and three RBIs. Daniel Dorn pitched in with a two run blast.
The Bats came back from a 4-0 deficit to top the Columbus Clippers at their new ballpark 7-5. Danny Richar went three for five with a double and two RBIs. Wes Bankston went two for five with a two run homer.
Sam LeCure was roughed up but he still picked up the win. He gave up five runs (four earned) on seven hits and a walk with three strikeouts in five innings.
Sam LeCure fell to 2-4 on the season in a rought start against the SWB Yankees. He gave up five runs on five hits and two walks with three strikeouts in five innings. The pen didn’t do much better and they gave up four runs in three frames.
Wes Bankston doubled and drove in the lone Bats run in the 9-1 loss. Norris Hopper singled and he scored one run.
The Bats got it done in the ninth inning yesterday. Down 6-5, Kevin Barker belted a two run single to give the Bats the lead. Luis Bolivar had a nice day at the plate and he went three for four with a double, a triple and three runs. Chris Valaika went two for with two doubles and an RBI.
Sam LeCure was roughed up in his start and he gave up four runs on seven hits and four walks with two strikeouts in five innings. Pedro Viola walked two in a shutout inning and he improved to 1-0 while Robert Manuel got the final batter out for his first save.
The Lookouts pitchers took it on the chin in this one in a 8-2 loss. Sam Lecure took the loss although he was hardly guilty of giving up all of the runs. He was tagged for three runs on five hits and four walks with three strikeouts in four innings. Two relievers combined to give up five runs in three innings to blow the game open.
Craig Tatum belted a solo homerun in the loss. Adam Rosales went two for four with a double and a walk.
Sam Lecure had a rough start in the Lookouts 5-4 loss to Carolina although he didn’t take the loss. He gave up four runs on five hits and three walks with two strikeouts in 5 2/3 innings. Then Calvin Medlock gave up a run in the sixth that proved to be the game winner and he took the loss.
Enrique Cruz had a nice day at the plate. He went two for four with a homerun and two RBIs. Caonabo Cosme doubled twice and drove in a run while Jay Garthwaite went two for four with a solo homerun.
The Lookouts topped Carolina 7-2 and Drew Anderson provided a bulk of the offense with a three run homer. Cody Strait also had a nice day at the plate and he went two for four with a double and two RBIs.
Sam Lecure picked up the win with five solid innings. He gave up two runs on six hits and four walks with four strikeouts.
Caonabo Cosme had a nice day at the plate in the Lookouts 7-5 win. He went two for four with two runs and two RBIs. Christopher Dickerson finished with three singles and two RBIs.

Cody Strait had a big day at the plate in the Lookouts 4-3 win overMontgomery. He went three for four with a double, a homerun, three RBIs and three runs. Christopher Dickerson also had a nice game with two hits and two runs.
Sam Lecure was pretty good in a no decision start. He gave up two runs on six hits and three walks with seven strikeouts in five innings of work. Justin Mallett picked up the win with a shutout eighth.
The Lookouts lost for the third time in four games as they were shut down at the plate. Enrique Cruz singled home the only run of the game in the 5-1 loss.
