Carlos Fisher Is Hit Hard In Lookouts Loss

Carlos Fisher fell to 2-2 on the season with a rough start in the Lookouts 9-1 loss to Carolina.  He gave up five runs on seven hits and three walks with two strikeouts in 4 1/3 innings.

Tyrell Godwin had the only hit of the game for the Lookouts.  He singled and drove in the only run.

Lookouts Doubled Up By Jaxx

The Lookouts lost 6-3 to the Jaxx and James Avery was hit hard.  He gave up six runs on nine hits and two walks with four strikeouts in 4 1/3 innings and the loss drops him to 5-4 on the season.

Tyrell Godwin was the hitting star in the loss.  He singled, drew a walk and drove in two runs.

Camilo Vazquez Hit Hard in Lookouts Loss

The Lookouts lost 7-5 and Camilo Vazquez was particularly hit hard in the loss.  He gave up five runs on six hits and three walks in 2 1/3 innings.

Tyrell Godwin hit a two run homer in the loss.  Drew Anderson went two for three with a run and an RBI.

Bats Drop Third Straight Game

The Bats got some rough pitching today in a 7-4 loss to the Tides.  Mike Gosling gave up four runs in six innings and Jason Kershner gave up a run in 2 1/3 innings as he took the loss.

Tyrell Godwin was the hitting star.  He went two for four with a double and three RBIs.  Anderson Machado walked three times and he scored twice.

Phil Dumatrait Improves to 3-0 in Bats Win

Phil Dumatrait gave up three hits and two walks with five strikeouts in five shutout innings today.  The win improved Dumatrait’s record to a perfect 3-0 and he’s now given up just one earned run on 17 2/3 innings.

Tyrell Godwin had a monster game at the plate.  He went four for five with two doubles, a triple and two runs.

Bats Blown Out by Mud Hens

This was an ugly game.  Tom Shearn was hit hard in his start and Steven Kelly was even worse in relief.  Shearn gave up five runs on five hits and three walks with three strikeouts in four innings of worse.  Kelly was knocked around for nine runs (six earned) on seven hits and four walks in just two innings.

Tyrell Godwin pretty much was the Bats offense. He drove in both runs and he singled twice.
